On March 6, 2016, after celebrating Annaka's birthday, President Tyler Sheffield set us apart as missionaries. All of our family living in Utah were there and we will never forget the spirit and the love we felt. The next morning we drove ourselves to the MTC.
Officially Full-time Missionaries
The highlight of the MTC was all of the wonderful people there. The other senior missionaries were inspiring. We loved seeing friends and making connections with people.
The first person to greet us was Cathleen Barney who has worked for Gordon for years. Elder Mike and Sister Lynna Taylor, our neighbors, serve there. Elder Taylor was our Branch President and fulfills his calling with a great deal of friendliness, helpfulness, and humor. Our morning teacher served his mission with Scott Siegel. Holly Beifuss, Tera Larsen, and Marianne Leininger (more neighbors) volunteer there. One senior sister we reconnected with was a woman Gordon hadn't seen since he went to high school in Saint Louis. The list goes on.

We couldn't miss the opportunity to take this picture!
Only one more weekend home and the journey begins.
